ODU Welcomes New Job Search Platform

By Kristen Anzuini | Oct 1, 2026

69堂精品app will launch 19eleven, a new career services platform powered by 12twenty, on Monday, Oct. 5. The platform will replace Handshake as the University鈥檚 job board and will serve as the future platform for career fairs and employer engagement.

Named in recognition of ODU鈥檚 founding on Oct. 5, 1911, 19eleven combines an intuitive, student-centered experience with institutional pride. Students and alumni will be able to explore job and internship opportunities, connect with a global employer network, find career fairs and other events, pursue on-campus employment and experiential learning opportunities, and build professional connections through mentorship and networking.

鈥淭he decision to transition to 12twenty was driven by our university-wide commitment to creating the best possible experience for our students,鈥 said Rachel Benway-Long, associate director of career development. 鈥淲e needed a platform that is intuitive, accessible, and capable of supporting students throughout their entire career development journey while strengthening meaningful connections with employers.鈥

19eleven provides students with curated opportunities tailored to their interests, live walkthrough tutorials, and access to career resources in one place. The platform also connects users to a global employer network of nearly 300,000 organizations and offers data-driven tools designed to help students make informed career decisions.

For the University, the transition offers greater control of student data and the ability to proactively strengthen student and alumni engagement, improve career outcomes, and help level the playing field for graduates entering the workforce.

鈥淏eyond its functionality, the ability to incorporate 69堂精品app鈥檚 branding has been an added bonus,鈥 Benway-Long said. 鈥淲e were especially excited to name our platform 19eleven as a tribute to our institution鈥檚 rich history, honoring the day and year 69堂精品app was founded on Oct. 5, 1911. This blend of innovation, student-centered design, and institutional pride made 12twenty the right choice for our campus community.鈥

Employers can also use 19eleven to create or update company profiles, post job and internship opportunities, request interviews and recruiting events, register for career fairs and networking events, and search student r茅sum茅s for qualified candidates.

Students can set up an account by visiting ohiodominican.12twenty.com and logging in with their ODU single sign-on credentials. Employers may create a free account at .

Students who previously created Handshake profiles will retain access to those individual accounts, but the Career Development Center will no longer manage Handshake or have access to its support services.
