Homecoming at 69堂精品app is always a special time, filled with tradition, celebration, and Panther pride. It is a week when alumni return to campus and the ODU community comes alive with excitement from students and graduates alike. From our high energy pep rally to delicious food at the football tailgate, this year鈥檚 festivities were a true celebration of what it means to be part of the ODU family.
One of the most cherished traditions each year is the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen, along with the members of the Homecoming Court. Voted on by students, faculty, and staff, the Homecoming Court represents the best of Ohio Dominican through leadership, community spirit, and engagement. Nominations are carefully reviewed by a committee to ensure eligibility before the ODU community casts its votes for those who embody Panther pride.
Acting President Dr. Shonna Riedlinger said the tradition is one of her favorites because it reflects the vibrancy of the ODU community. 鈥淚t shows the involvement and engagement of our students, and what I have always found so wonderful is that those selected come from such diverse backgrounds,鈥� Riedlinger said. 鈥淭hat just goes to show the engagement we have with our students here, the different organizations on campus and the importance of representing your school. We are very proud of this year鈥檚 selections and of this great tradition we have at ODU.鈥�
Homecoming King Donell Jackson Jr. said being recognized by his peers is an honor he will always treasure. 鈥淚t feels amazing to be recognized by my peers in this way,鈥� he said. 鈥淚 just want to give all the glory, honor, and praise to the real King, Jesus Christ. To be given the opportunity to serve as ODU鈥檚 Homecoming King, especially at a university where everyone knows one another, is such a blessing. I am truly grateful for my classmates, faculty, staff, and the entire community for their support. Go Panthers!鈥�
Homecoming Queen Ashley Chmielewski shared a similar sense of gratitude. 鈥淚 was really surprised to be chosen as Homecoming Queen, but I feel so blessed and grateful to have been voted for by my peers, teammates, faculty, and staff鈥� she said. 鈥淚 love ODU and all of the connections and relationships I have built here.鈥�
The 2025 Homecoming Court also included First Year Attendant Hannah Vanderhoff of Granville, Ohio, escorted by Jackson Vesco of Akron, Ohio; Sophomore Attendant Kami Daniels of Gallipolis, Ohio, escorted by Camden Cox of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and Junior Attendant Tyra McClain of Van Wert, Ohio, escorted by Ean Encarnacion of Delaware, Ohio.
Together, these students represent the heart of 69堂精品app: faith, friendship, leadership, and pride. Congratulations to the entire 2025 Homecoming Court.
